1) The 5:30PM class is going to move back 15 minutes to 5:15 PM, and is now an “Intermediate/Advanced” class.
First of, let’s talk about the change in time… The reason we are moving the class back is that the 5:30 and the 6:30 classes are both quite large, and the parking is an issue. With the size of both of those classes, lately even the overflow lot is overflowing. It is my hope that by moving the early class back a few minutes we can alleviate some of this log jam and keep us from having to park so close to York County.
Regarding the change in status of the class… We are making this change because there is a significant number of newer athletes who are now quite capable of doing the regular WODs with minimal modifications and our regularly scheduled strength work, and for whom the beginner’s WODs and strength work is not quite enough. This class is designed to bridge the gap, to give just as much hands on coaching and critiquing of your movements in a more challenging environment than the beginner’s classes are designed to do. The more advanced athletes are more than welcome to continue attending this class, however the brand new folks and grouponers will no longer be able to. This is reflected on the online calendar as well.
2). Running Classes are now on Monday and Wednesdays at 7:30PM
If you are going to come to running class (which everybody should at least a couple of times) please dress appropriately. It is both dark and cooler by then, so wear reflective clothing that will also keep you warm. Don’t dress like a ninja.
3) Don’t forget!!! Olympic Lifting Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30PM and Saturday mornings at 9:00AM.
Oly classes are included in your membership and are taught by TIm Hite, who is one of the best in the area. If you want to be good at crossfit, you need to be good at Oly lifts. If you want to be good at Oly lifts, you need to spend more time on them than we possibly can in the regular WODs. So…get yourself to Oly Class!
4) Open Gym Times.
The box is open for you to work on things, make up WODs, lift or practice or just hang out during the day from 10-noon, and 1:00 – 3:30 or later just about every day. Come and fix your business!!!
